Q.

Why the monitor displays wrong color and non-smooth tone when connecting Mac via Mini DisplayPort cable?

A.

It is because the Mini DisplayPort or the Thunderbolt port of Mac installed Mac OS X 10.8 or 10.7 may output not RGB full range signal but YUV limited range signal. This is the specification of Mac.

To solve the problem, please upgrade your Mac OS X to Mavericks (10.9) or later. Or please use a Mini DisplayPort to DVI conversion cable or an adapter, and connect to the DVI input of the monitor.
