FlexScan
A term used to describe a monitor that can accept and automatically compensate for a range of horizontal scanning frequencies. Thereby, the monitor can change between resolutions depending on the specifications of the applications. Since the resolution mode affects the scanning frequency many monitors are now able to automatically recognize the scanning frequency and compensate for timing differences accordingly. EIZO was one of the first manufacturers to develop this technology. EIZO's FlexScan product family includes LCD monitors that are well suited for the home and corporate office, financial trading, computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and amateur photography.
